Trick or Freak

You gotta believe.IWell it was a week to morn the end of the baseball season as the Mets gave it their best to beat the might Braves.  They gave their gallant best but came up a little short.  What the Mets did is wear-out the Braves physically and menatlly to the point that the Braves had no more to give.  So the season is over waiting for the next century to perform a few more audemars piguet replica watches miracle.  The Mets, official baseballl team of Deadstein.  Buy me some butter and Cracker Jacks is Deadstein's motto for Shea.   I guess there is no more to say about this baseball season.  It comes and goes but Deadstein just goes.

Speaking of going, Larry B. informed us he is doing a large portion of the Phil tour coming up so we better schedule Deadstein around Trister's schedule for the next few weeks to make sure he is there.  He missed this week and many recent weeks and we can't afford to not have him there when Larry is gone.  So Trister was gone this week, no guests, Brotpen was back and Dave had a nice assortment of new drum skins and pedals.  He finally replace those worn-out 1972 parts from Scott's set and it sounds real good.   All I can say is it's about time and I wish him the best of luck, I'm looking forward to the improvement.  Scott was dressed like a Samarai drummer, regailed in headband and all.

Deliciozo was had but Mr. Delicozo didn't make enough Rice balls in the morning for the troops.  In substitution, graham replica watches Johnny over-ordered leaving Dave with a handful of Italian food to feed the homeless.  I bet you he ate it all himself before he went to bed.  We had lots of bread and butter this time.  The weather was very nice and until next week.

Dear Deadstein friends--So much has happened since I last saw you on July l3. Did Larry tell you that my daughter Anne had to be helicoptered from southern Ocean County to Manhattan where she took an ambulance ride from the heliport downtown to Babies Hospital at N.Y. Presbyterian Medical Center during afternoon rush hour--all of this because she had a blood clot in her lung. She and I had to spend another eight days at Babies Hosp. (we'd spent several days there in June when she had open heart surgery). 'Twas very frightening, but she's ok at the moment and I'm as ok as a normally crazy person can be!

At any rate, did you read the article in the Oct. l0 N.Y. Times Magazine (L.G. says that I don't have to underline or use quotation marks because this is the almighty computer!) about the filmmaker Matthew Barney? He has produced a series of films titled "Cremaster," and are you aware that the cremaster is the muscle which lifts the testes? I didn't know that, so now I'm feeling terribly enlightened, even uplifted!! In addition to adding a new word to my vocabulary as a result of reading that article, I learned that Matthew Barney is a customer at a place some of you have frequented over the years: "...Florent, the stylish bistro where he's a regular...." C'est tout--hope you're all thriving. Happy Halloween and happy Thanksgiving! Happy Schevuous (whatever on God's planet that may be--that is a Gindoff-ism, to be sure!).

Penny--

No, TheGind did not tell us of your daughters' condition, nor the intense ordeal. I'm glad she and you are doing OK. All of our Love and Pos to you and your family.

As for the "Cremaster", not only am I aware, you should see my exercise regimen.

Although I enjoy taking a turn or two at the mike, I did not post this week under the freakboy personna. The jams over the past two weeks have been great!! I've noticed some faster tempos recently and I'm thrilled about them. It makes it easier for me to dance when the song is cooking. Thanks for the fun.

I think it is wrong for people to sign in under other people's personna giving false impressions. Maybe a password system should be introduced so at least Deadstein members can keep their personnas private and accountable.

It's adorable of you to jump to conclusions and excuse me of proxy-posting, but in fact, it was Steele. If It had been me, it would have been much funnier. Trust me. Woo.

Actually your right, it was me. Steele is pretty funny and his posts conjure up pretty funny stuff. Can't we all get a-little freaky? Trick or Woo?

OK boys. I went to the Zen Tricksters show on Saturday night at the Bowery Ballroom. Jeff was celebrating his 20th anniversary. The rest of the current band members filtered in over the years. Jeff had previous band members join the band on this night of occasion. But, most importantly, the incomparable Barry Sless, of the David Nelson Band, was there to entertain us this evening. Apparently, he will be touring with the Tricksters in the Midwest this month and might be joining in on some of the Phil & Phreinds shows as well. With Jerry gone, Barry and Jeff are probably the best at what Jerry used to do. Jeff presents the entire "young" Jerry package, while Barry does the guitar thing, pedal steel and electric. These guys were dueling Jerrry in the biggest way. I was a happy camper. In between the first and second sets I spotted Andrew, Scotty's friend. I met his friend Jason from California. We hung out at the bar and I sampled some sweets. Woo-hoo. See you all tomorrow.
