Check it out! The Dave Nelson Band's Homepage is also big on using the word "freak." You can get in to that page by going to www.big2resorts.com and clicking into the poco no's gathering lineup.

That's a lot of Rigotta for a lactose intolorent freak. We forgot to mention it was the unveiling of the Freak's new purple dress with the corderroy that is too tight along his 34A chest. He is going to have to go to a tailor to have it let out because on a cold day it would show a llot of nipple. P.S. Sorry for the spelling errors but I'm just not that smart. I assume the tape was hot as Trister says because Trister was really on last night.

OK, Dave, there was a lot of good bass coming out of you. Oh and lots of smile too!! Sounded great. I can talk on and on about last night and how good it was, But I just returned home from a end of camp party for Mollie on pier 25 and I went on Board the "Yankee Ferry" Which is an 85 year old fery that has ben restored in perfect detail. The boat can accomodate approx 300 people. PARTY PARTY PARTY!!!! As per my conversation, we could let say get the boat for a Saturday from 4 - 11pm BYO Everything ie: food, drink, etc.... He gave me a figure of $1400 for above and includes (1) person to help freaks aboard, answer any questions, and clean up. P.S. Nice sunset from the boat. Anyone interested in ending the summer of 98' with a Deadstein bash. Lets TALK IT UP!!!!

Gee what can i say, "i love playing the bass with you guys" --wasn't that "to lay me down" good?-- thanks to everyone for putting up with the mistakes and volume and to "LB" for being my personal conductor....and thanks for the vote of confidence and the smiles.....IF ONLY DONNY COULD HAVE BEEN THERE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT... P.S. "hey kevvy, stay another week." P.P.S. Please someone save that second half tape for me, especially that BOX OF RAIN

I missed most of my second set due to that play head on that Tascam being pointed the wrong way when I hit the Parallel Record. It's too bad becuase the Peter was good and I don't have it. P.S. I thinks Dave should get some sleep instead of dealing with the Deadstein homepage at 3:06 a.m. I would have to take and of his perscriptions today. "That was Tylenol with codine, I'm sorry, I thought you said cyanide."

Unfortunatly I missed the To Lay Me Down. I was upstairs on the Phone and boy was I wishing I wasn't. But you know what? There's always next week!!!!!I guess the party boat idea didn't go over well from the amount of responses that were posted?

OK..the boat sounds cool...I'm in. Can we jam on it?? I'm not going if Jon wears his dress, though...It doesn't fit him very well.

I would definetly make a special weekend trip down for the boat and I can also recruit some river going freaks to attend (Not all 1,400 though). I would also be glad to assist with the logistics. In addition, a Fall Tour of New England looks good if you freaks are still interested! Well one show anyway. I see you all on Tuesday.

Great week for all but Kevvy. Great Peter and I got it on tape. Nice job by Dave and Trister wa of course on fire. As for the boat, I think it's agreat idea 1400 is the cost not the capacity, is there any way to estimate food and other consumeable costs. Til next week.

The Boat sounds great, I'm just wondering if we know enough people to offset the cost of rental becuase I know I don't. Maybe Dave should work with Jordie and Mr. Kincaid to promote the thing if we decide to go ahead. I'm sure the Hutch has the power to drum up significant support. Nevertheless what is ever decided, I'm in becuas ethe Riverboat sounds nice. I assume it's a barge that doesn't move and it doesn't have rain protection. We need more details and by the time we get them winer will be here and the boat will slowly drift away.

Right you are Mr. Gindoff, the boat is docked (does not move) at pier 25 which is near N.Moore street or battery park city vicinity. We would play inside in a fairly spacious room with a what looked to be a good audio system for in between sets. They have a bar (similar to ours), Tables can be set up inside or outside. Theres a lot of space to float around and mingle. As far as the cost the guy originally said he gets $2,100 in the summer but because summer is coming to an end he would do it for $1400.00. The way I see it is if each band member plus whoever else can help can contribute I see it costing about $ 200 per "OR" We can collect admission at the door? Also for your info there is mini golf, sand volley ball, sand box, consession stand with BBQ, Sprinkler to cool off (I think) any way this has been the most posting in a long time!!!! Lets talk it UP!!! P.S. I MISS YOU KEV .....P.S.S. I will have a brochure on the "Yankee" on Tuesday so you can all feast your eyes.

A sunet set off the dock of the bay sounds groovy to me, conceptually. If it could be produced right and flexibly financed a boat party would cap off an other one summer of fine musical experiences. Do we collectively know enough people to come out for it?

How's the Saturday after Labor Day? Lisa and I could probably gather about 20 - 25 people. If the end of the summer thing does not happen the"Yankee" session lasts through November. (Not The Baseball Team)Any other gig ideas? Maybe we can close down 38th street for the day, rent a flat bed and recreate the Haight Street Scene? WOOO

Jeff Fortgang, Kevin's been to his new big backyard that he wants to show off to the world. I think that is our best hope for a good setup. I don't think the flatbed truck on 38th Street works becuase I will have no where to park if that happens. I think the crowds would be so big that the treat of looting the the streets will be great. It's the 90s not the 60s. If it does come to fruition we could do a new song "Looting in the Streets". They'll be stealing and wheeling with Police a realing while Lotting in the Street. Doesn't matter what you grab, just as long as your are there. Come on every guy grab a brick . . .
