Well it was the night Scotty told us it was time he move on from the Deadstein nest.  It's a sad melancholy moment as we see time move and season's change and in the end, what makes us happiest in the end is the best.  Wishing Scotty the best.  Be free and be happy.  Just remember, it's not the Neumann's that make the drums sound good but the sticks.

Probably for the last time, the whole band was there except for Trister.   We played lots of music.  It was big and small, predominantly good.  Did the Sailor Saint for the umteenth time in a row and it does get better and better.  I Loved the It's All Over Now.  The Weather Report / Let It Grow was really bad.   C'est La Vie.  We didn't do it but it's life.

Till next Thursday for those stragglers that remain to carry the menorah.

The wheel is turning and it won't slow down.

Fare thee well, old freaky-friend. Live and be well. I'll miss you.

...Let the festival of light continue.

A very poignant night. When Scotty was asked for a pick, he chose "Waiting for a Miracle" and Larry and the deadstein tribe that made it to the gig belted out a good one. The Scarlet>Estimated>Eyes>Music was hot. My bad on the Transition from WRS Pt1>LIG. sorry about that. Scotty, thanks for being the mensch you are and not letting it drag. "Coming out" at the top of the eve showed us that class is just one of the many fine points you posess. For the rest of us pickers, grinners, sinners and freaks, it is just another wrinkle in the pattern that continues to weave. See you next thursday.

well, well, well ...you can never tell ... and sometimes you can ---- in either case it was a pleasure to play beside you --- as you are in the rest of your life you are a very giving musician and allowed me a lot of lee-way to experiment, while i could never hope to match your generousity i hope i did the same for you....it was fun to watch you invent distinct "scotty" parts for each song ... especially the jam of "the music" ... there were often times when i would say to myself "next time around i'm going to try something different" and before i knew it there you were do that exact thing ... well my friend i wish you the best, hope you find everything you want and hey, you never know what the future holds ... hopefully will sit next to each other again.

I'm gonna be about 1 hour or so late for the jam. I have to stop by the Bulgarian Embassy.
