13 Here Comes Sunshine China Cat Uncle Johns Band Franklins Tower.mp3
At the last moment this week was switched to Monday night as I came directly from my first night of guitar camp. I don't have too much of camp vibe in my head or heads to impact this week's jam compared to as if we held it on Wednesday, but it was what it was. What is was was a surprisingly enjoyable a groovy Deep Elem to get us going for the day. For this Core-4, I had my Les Paul and my new attempt to sound like Jerry a bit more rolling off all of the bass on the amp. It's a scary bronco to ride, but it does take you for a ride.
As it was the Days Between week remembering the time between Jerry's birthday on August 1 and the day he died on August 9. I commemorate this Lee was requesting not to play a Days Between, but rather a Midnight Moonlight, songs on the opposite spectrum of each other but we were there to please. It was better than could be expected. G-d bless.
The 42-minute Here Comes Sunshine into China Cat into Uncle Johns and Finishing with the Franklins was a tremendous effort on our part, especially at that time of the night. Likewise, the 13 minute-Birdsong and the 24-minute Peter into Wheel into Bertha were each substantial under takings. Even the Little Red Rooster felt pretty good this week. Candyman, Ship of Fools, Ripple, Run for Roses all kept Jerry's spirit in our hearts during this week's jam.
Freak Out!
