Some Bitter Prep and Jazz Lead Us Home

We were working on some of the tougher parts of the Bitter End set list and gig coming up on June 8, 2022. This will be the end of our Bitter End Residency first half of 2022 and we want to end with a bang. Rennie was a late call out leaving it up to Andy and I to sing the vocal parts he would usually sing. I think we did pretty well and the recordings sound pretty good. I think even our harmonies on the I know you Rider were better than usual.

I think we made some excellent progress on the Help On the Way and Morning Dew issues we have as we really drilled those a bit. Much more than we typically do, so hopefully we pull off those biggies with the respect and execution they deserve. Opening With Help On the Way is a lot to undertake right from the get-go.

Andy left after the Sugar Magnolia at which time I high-jacked the set to try some of my Summer 2022 Big Jersey Guitar Camp songs including the Deed I Do, You'd Be So Nice (To Come Home To) and the Day and Night, these were pretty good. Our attempts at Freddie the Freeloader and Take Five still need a lot of work.

This week I played for the first time my new Dream 65 Universal Audio effects pedal which models the 1965 Deluxe Reverb Amp. It definitely worked and I am excited to have this thing on my Board, knowing it can serve as a backup amp if and when I ever need it.

Freak Out!
