This was our first week at Caroll's Music Rental on 41st between 8th and 9th, pretty much under the Port Authority.  I liked the room, it was simple, Spartan, yet comfortable.  The location sucks but everything seemed to work.  The only exception was Rich Brotman's Baby Grand Piano which was tough to hear over the Din of the Stein.  Nevertheless, we rocked strong and long.  "That's what she said."  Estimated was solid whereas the end of Stranger was not.  Most of the music worked well for the whole night.  The lights are where it is at and we made it home to survive another week.  I hope Andy made his train.

Kudos to Ray and the folks at Carroll for a good clean room, new crisp equipment and a live sound. Double kudos for an attitude of good vibes... It wasn't a strain either $$! Burn the DAT I tell you...I thought that MOST songs ended badly, and hope that no-one ever hears this tape..but that is just me. There were some grate moments...and it was fun to see Kev scrambling for his You WIn Again sheet music! The GUY that was there all night watching us is Alain LeForest...he has come down before too, Larry, you are turning into a real musician forgetting the faces of your fans! Sorry you all came to "Tom Banjo's" room....I'll have that fixed for next week. Manganero's, sorry....you ran out of food. NEXT WEEK - ATOMIC WINGS! 39th and 9th! Thanks AGAIN Phoenix for EVERYTHING!! cannot wait to see what I have on tape 2night!

Andy, I do have and will have a copy of the 3/27 Deadstein CD for you. The guitars are loud and clear on it and is a fine sounding CD. While not quite the Miracle that Tommy B. can provide, the fact you get anything at all from me is sufficient, in the spirit of Passover.
