It was a big night a Carolls as the whole band played together for the first  time since the Banjofest in August.  In addition to this, there were more guests at Carolls who happen to hear us, than usual.   This includes Johnny and his entourage, Rich and his entourage as well as Bill Sloan who played percussion and drums throughout the night.  Dave was feeling a bit queasy.

With all the people, all my wiring and the piano, the room seemed mighty crowded but we played throughout it all and got 14 songs in.   While not a marathon, not the worst effort either.

Till next whenever we figure out when we are playing.   God Bless America

I love Dave's drumming. Did you know he uses two bass drum pedals? Did you know they're his? I didn't until last night. Dave rules the school. He is so friendely and agreeable. G-d bless the kid.

More importantly, it's good to see Bill Sloan again. I had a serious Hudson St. flashback last night when I looked over at him during a good groove. Good stuff.

Go Deadstein.

Yes, 2-bass drum petals makes David a much different person that he is normally...add that to an extra tom-tom and it is better than Prozac for the rest of us. Loved many moments last night - AT on Minglewood, as LB said "how could you not want more of that?"... LB on Tangled Up....he was on the nose with that! Scarlet was juicey too. For the record, we did Strawberry Fields at the end, not LSD!

I booked next Thursday for you freaks celebrating an anniversary. Enjoy!

Mail delivery has become a problem since the tragedy and my subsequent displacement. For the first week, they were holding our mail at the 8th Ave & 33rd St. Post Office, Then, about two weeks ago, they transferred it to the Bowling Green Post Office, which is downtown. Mahoko and I have visited the Bowling Green post office several times and it is clear that a substantial portion of our mail has either been un-sorted, misplaced or lost. If you would like to send us mail, please use my parent's address (where we'll probably be staying for another two or three weeks) at:

366 Mayfair Drive South Brooklyn, NY 11234

For future reference, our Battery Park City address is:

345 South End Ave, Apt. # 4L New York, NY 10280

Love,

Mr. and Mrs. Freakboy

I'm flying to Denver on Thursday, 10/11. A short video I made is getting its world premier screening at the Denver International Film Festival. I'll be back for the following weeks jam. Though the last time I left town, all hell broke loose.

I encountered some difficult turns in the road on Friday, so I couldn't work o our equipment dillemma. I'll get on it Monday and get back to y'all.

If CDs are made of last week, please save me a set. I thought the Brown Eyed Women, Same Thing, and Estimated felt like buy takes.

Deadstein - getting better with age. Happy Anniversary to all, even those of us, who were not there at the beginning, but know how to mark the passage of time.

Cause, Kevin expects a bunch of posts from me each week, I enjoyed last week's discs and praise LB for selecting those vocal rarities that 5 can play, and 3 or 4 can sing. Attics was grate! TLMD was wonderful! I still say throw away my vocals on Box. Speaking of vocals, strugling through one of semi-annual sinus infections that causes me to lose my voice. I am coming, I hope I can stay... See the EATERS at Cottage noodle shoppe at 6PM.
