It was back to high-five Deadstein again last night as Rich returned from his annual trip out east.  While he had a scratch in his throated he had a hop to his step.  Stu was our only guest of the night.

We had some big epic jams such as the Slipknot! and Birdsong.  The Birdsong jam was so big that Rich was able to sing the first half of the song, go downsatirs meet a friend outside and come back to where he left the song, not missing a meaningful note.  I thought the Sailor Saint was pretty respectable though Andy thinks it was a disaster. Now Franklins, that was a disaster.  Some songs just seem impossible to throw up such as a Miracle and the That's What Love Will Make You do.

I got there late, setup within an hour and got a pretty good tape.   I used 5 mics for the drums, which is a record and the toms will have a nice ping-pong effect to them when you hear the CD.  Ferdinando knew my name at the beginning of the night which I was impressed about.  He really is a nice person and he did a nice job setting us up, getting us music stands, etc.

Till next Wednesday.

There was also a Big Railroad Blues played which didn't make the list above. It was a keeper as Rich said. I also just hearf the Let it Grow and Birdsong which were both also keepers. Let it Grow has some real heavy moments. "Pretty hip" as Jerry would say.

Heaviness is what it is all about.

If I recall correctly, the Slipknot! had the atomic weight of Actinium. It was the Deadstein experience in it's purest essence. To go where no freak has gone before and return, in order to try again.

Standing-by for the next lift.

Slipknot was was high in its proton count as we went for the full gusto proving only to be to full to complete the meal. During the Slipknot! I was able to feel and contribute a few Rocky Racoon feelings I was getting. Who would think the two would have anything in common? It's that classic Beatle C step down to Am I was getting into.

WE crack YOU up ... so 12 years since the first note, i believe it was a G, a bouncy G ... we had it all, the honeymoon of kindness, friendship, comedy, music -- groupies, split off bands, monster jams, special guests, not so special guests ... grandiose implosions, reconciliations, more KFCM, time mismanagement, ego struggles, mirrors (both vanity and insanity), pool cues and music cues ... i keep looking for "Deadstein"--Behind The Music 'cause we've had all and more than most bands --- anyhoo, i digress ... taking a cue from the artist formally known as banjo ( yea, yea, yea ... dont bother, i know, still known, yada, yada, yada) i think we should have a new band slogan .... "DEADSTEIN, WE MAKE YOU LAUGH"

we are now known as Schwartzstein as far as I'm concerned. Only Dave has enough pull to get 5 mics......

Maybe we should be called Micstein. The irony there is we need 5 mics yet no one can sing. I think it's only four mics by the way.
