Next jam is Tuesday, September 27, 2005 and it is confirmed.

This was a week that Trister was out of town and I was there to assume the lead guitar roles, which is always fun for me no matter how disturbing it may be for others.  I had my usually feelings of total inadequacy as I attempted to play a few leads.  We played  17 songs and that was a nice chunck to accomplish.

It was Scotty's Birthday show and it was up to him to pick the songs for the night and no one was there to take that responsibility from him.  As far as guests we had a few including Stu, Ken Levine and his son JB.  It's always great to have guests and we held them hostage as we decided to play a 4 song medley in G before they were able to make their ways out of the studio.

Jimmy was on vacation and I had a pulled pork sandwich from Daisy Mae's prior to the jam.  I highly recommend that place (46th and 11th) for anyone who is into the non-Kosher thing.

I got Post' I was quite un prepared for my birthday set list and for that I appologize. Trister was surely missed big time to take us to far away places. This wasn't the only bummer my friends.......I went to see Elton John last night at MSG, and both Lisa & I agreed that band was boring and the sit down crowd sucked. The 1st 3rd of the show was all new stuff( get it out of the way) way too much new stuff. Then a few songs from Capt'n Fantastic, getting better, by the time the show got going it was 10:30. I was text messaging my cuz across the arena, and even they thought it sucked. We were getting ready to split and go get dessert and coffee........I MISS JERRY!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry ScottyBoy, that is quite a depressing post. It makes me angry at Jerry for leaving us in such a world, that Scotty has to 'grasp at straws' and attend an Elton John concert looking for Musical Kindness. If this was 1976 maybe you would have found it, but in 2005 the only thing those 2 guys have in common is waist size. Don't worry ScottyBoy, you'll get your Musical Kindness Tuesday nite.

I just finished Lesh's book. A little too cosmic for me but I always suspected as much from Phil. I felt he danced over subjects that I would have liked to known more about (ie his relationship with Jerry; deaths of Kieth/Brent/Pig, etc..) but all in all a good read. Go get it if you havent already.

Sorry the the lack of posts and postings and pages to post to but you know. Well maybe you don't. Nevertheless, pages for posting have been put up in batcg as Kevin puts it for your postings. So post away little posters. I did post the letter from Carroll's to the drummers from a couple of weeks ago.
