A while without a posting but it's time to make a little effort since the effort in the room seems so big.  With a week off and a week to contemplate our existence with respect to the Other Ones, Deadstein came back with a vengeance.  I don't think Trister was thinking about his existence with respect to the Other Ones, because just like George Hamilton, he was busy working on his tan.

I few things to mention.  First and foremost is the Freakboy's new sun dress.  It shows off his girlish hips and he gave us quite a show without music  showing us all the versatility of the outfit.    He was a little too embarrassed to go out in the street with it though.  Afraid to show his true colors fearing someone may just come up to him a schpoink him in the tuchas.

I personally left my blood in the room after impaling a B string in my left palm and then inserting 5 splinters under my right hand's middle finger's nail.  I got it reaching into the corner pocket of the new pool table.

The Other Freaks

Dave's birthday show is next Tuesday and then after that week is the one year anniversary of moving into William Weiss Interiors.  What a lucky bunch of coconuts we all are.

just received a preview of dave's b'day list. Dave you can cater anytime with a set list like that. Goodness is flowing from my heart. It's hard to believe that a year has crept upon us. In my wildest dreams I didn't think it would go as well it has. My fears have seem to simmer down in regards to 1) "security" THE GATE (not kev's company) 2) Acoustics!!! 3) Buliding complaints 4) Door bell etc.... Everthing is going great. By the way if anyone has any bright ides in which to have a Deadstein party or a party that Deadstein can partake in I think were all itching to play out somewere. I'm looking into borrowing (contributing) to the site of the Westbury goodness. The summer is here and lets try and get something going whether its big or small. PS. If any family member or friend would like to donate their spare FREAK DRESS to our freak he will accept any and all. He can really SHINE. See ya Tuesday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. SCHWARTZ!!!

These last few weeks of unposted deadstein have been most interesting and enjoyable. The duel lead has really opened up the music. The cassidy and sugaree this week were superb.I can't wait till next week.

It is good to get back to Deadstein after I missed the Gind birthday jam and after everyone missed last week. It is also good to get back to posting. Scotty came up big with the po ol table. The Other Ones moved through town and sent new vibes of energy through the m ighty Deadstein. I bought a new dress at Furthur's Nassau Coliseum show from one of the licensed vendors inside the arena. Even though it got ripped a bit and it cost $30, I believe that I proved to all that you can't put a price on a dress. I guess that's a girl thing and we, as guys don't ordinarily come to understand things like that. Well, that's why you got Freakboy. As we near the one-year anniversary of playing at WWI I feel an overwhelming desire to throw kudos Scotty's way. He takes the phrase "Host with the Most" to new levels. When we left Gansevoort we never dreamed that we could have it so good. And we've had it good. Way good. I mean goody good good. What happened to Spillboy? I wonder if he made it to any of the Other One shows. How about the Gind taking it in the fingers twice during Monday's pre-jam period. Once getting poked by a guitar string and the other time from the pool table. Maybe Jerry's trying to tell him that Bruce did not murder him. Directly or indirectly. I'd like to thank Kevy for appreciating my dancing. It is good to be appreciated. I have a feeling that my dress and me will showing up on some of the Kevy's upcoming weekly flyers. OK, cool, see you all next week.

"schpoink him in the tuchas." --That's freakin' hysterical. God bless TheGind for his genius and effort. The new format looks great. I feel whole again. Yes, since the last major post, Deadstein has gone through some growing pains (for the better, I might add). The most notable is the absorption of Andy Trister, an old SUNY Albany friend, to our freakshow. It is with eerie emulation that we add another lead guitar player. He gives our engine a nitrous oxide turbo-charge. We all have benefited and ironically, it has made LarryB even better. LarryB now has the luxury to concentrate on vocals, and it shows. He is also spending more time weaving guitar-synth textures through our freaky musical fabric. I believe we have stepped-up a level in play. --Nothing wrong with that. The other big thing is the emergence of The Other Ones into our lives. It has been the source of much controversy within Deadstein. It ranges from the "bus-getting-on professional touring critic" of LarryB to the "accusing-Horsby-of-murder total disregard" of TheGind. I was somewhere in the middle. Until I went to a show, prompted by Johnny's event-attending persistence (thanks Freakboy!). Now I'm even more confused. It was weird. I missed Jerry more than I ever have. Phil was phenomenal and tough me a thing or two, it is a lesson well learned. I did have fun and if they come back I will go again, but I'm still confused and it still is weird. They are a good Dead cover band, but so are we. Woo.
