A bigger night at Carroll's

Except for Trister, the whole band was there at Carroll's where we seem to be settling in and getting comfortable.  Johnny was there a little late, Kenny was there a little early and my friend John and his wife Daniel were there there way too early to even catch one song prior to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.  It takes time to set us up and it seems that we play so little between all the mini breaks and the setup time. Nevertheless, without the big meal to disrupt the night we are able to complete a full setlist right on time.  There was even time for Scott and Larry to run out to Dunkin Donuts.

We have so many Sailor Saints on setlists that never get played.  We persevered this week and pulled off one of the tightest Sailor Saints yet done by Deadstein.    The Playing, Uncle Johns Playing was also quite tight.  Even the Picasso which was looking for an excuse not to be played ended up to be pretty good.  Crazy Fingers transitioning into a Miracle was well done finally leading into a Dew that was really tight until Larry started to place Playing in the Band teases all over it which lead to indecision and a lack of tightness.  That was too bad because it was really sweet up to that point.  I assume the tape turned out pretty good, I had a good setup.

Till next Tuesday.
