Lee was back from the IR after missing a few weeks to be our drummer in a Core-4 jam to end 2024. There was no hope of another jam for the year, so this was it on a Monday before Christmas as well as Hanukah which was scheduled to start on sunset on 12/25/24. Knowing it was going to be Core-4 and I had time at home to practice with my new SG, I had been playing with 5-31-1983 Roseland JGB show which influenced the beginning of the night. I was well prepared for these songs so the beginning of the night was good for me and my guitar. Maybe a bit too much for Lee as he cried "Uncle" right at the beginning of the secondd set with the Let It Rock. We went to the acoustic style Wake Up Little Susie to give him a break, but he left us to finish the night and the year to a 3-man or Wee-3 He's Gone. The simplicity of the Wee-3 sound felt pretty good and kept us going for the rest of the night.

This was a big night of music. It spanned 3hours and 3 minutes, the first time I recall breaking the 3-hour barrier. We usually play between 2:30 and 2:45. We had 14 songs with Lee and a drummer and then amazingly enough 11 songs as the Wee-3 trio. While we seemed to Peter to end the year, I ended optimistically with the Music Never Stopped to close.

Freak Out 2024!
