First let me preface this posting by stating how much I miss the Gind; a lot. Now the Jam: First Set--- 1/2 Step- CC Rider- TLEO- Me & my uncle- Big river- Memphis blues- Lazy river road- Throwin stones- Althea- *There was a full 16 song set list written, but due to our lack of a minion, we bailed early (shameful). *Dennis played guitar on the first 6 tunes, and was suprisingly controlled and appropriate. *LarryB finally took my accumulated 6 years worth of advice and played in stereo, which gave him depth and substance not usually heard on that side of the room. A good thing. *The playing, although feared to be weak and brittle, was strong and vital. The GuitarSlingers were working up a sweat and performing "Step-up play", usually reserved for gigs and parties. *Half-time food was provided by "The Trio". Well-done Sicilian pie ( 1/2 sausage)-garlic knots-stromboli-chicken roll-many drinks. Dessert was compliments of LarryM and Admiral Abatement, coffee, and a variety of cookies and an amazing raspberry/almond crunch-brittle (from x-mas gift baskets). *Have a merry Deadstein Christmas everyone! See 'ya next week.

Dave Berg was unable to attend and a proposed switch to Xmas eve was nixed by Kevy. So we attempted to obtain several replacements for the Gind including former drummer Dave S. all to no avail. So we arrived as a quartet and coopted Dennis to join us. MISSISSIPPI 1/2 STEP was the opener and fairly well played, I think we were all a little suprised Dennis could keep up so well, apparently he had no problem reading the book. C.C. RIDER nice and powerful TLEO nicely solid and a very chunky rhythm from Dennis UNCLE>RIVER again nice rhythm and fairly solid

Dave Berg has the sensitivity of a brick, and he swings like a dead monkey...Deadstein has nothing to worry about from Lost Marbles! Larry G. has nothing to fear about losing his seat!
