We almost had the full band there but LB was the only one missing, recovering from the Big Bob Weir tour where he had Phil's band as a backup.  Neverthelesh Philling, Deadstein keeps going along.  On the third floor of Caroll's after a week off we showed some rust.  We had two guests, Penny and Banjo's friend Alan who both had to persevere through the loudness of it all.  Andy forgot his distortion apperatti and felt vulnerable without it.  I don't know, I had mine and felt vulnerable with it so as Kevin and I were discussing earlier in the day, it's not the equipment that makes the player.  Dave brought in a little egg-foo young and assorted other garlic based delicacies, hopefully that doesn't start a bad trend that eventually gets us kicks out of Caroll's.  It was a much appreciated trend though.

The Casey Jones was good.

Till we meet again.  .

This is great: Even in tragedy, there can be some humor. No wonder the missing persons count kept changing. This guy probably ended up on the "dead" list. Seems this suburban guy left for work on Sept. 11 at about 6:00AM to go to his office in the WTC. When he got to Manhattan, he went to his lover's apartment in the Village, turned his cell phone off, and climbed into bed with her. At about 10:00AM, while still lying next to her, he turned his cell phone on, and a second later it rang. He answered, and it was his wife who screamed at him, "Where are you? I've been trying to call you for an hour. I've been worried sick about you!!!!" So he answered, "Where do you think I am? I'm in my office."

funny scotty. many of us surmised that is was a great opty for people just to walk away and never return, assume a new identity and leave it all behind. And we all have heard of folks putting in false claims..but this story takes the cake.

Another Hoax Scott: The story quoted above is an example of this stage of humor. It's an apocryphal tale -- no names are given, and there is no pretense of this "true story" being anything but an inventive offering. But it does employ the massive destruction of the World Trade Center towers as the backdrop for its tale of marital infidelity uncovered. http://www.snopes2.com/

The usefulness of Deadstein.com. I was at my brothers , 55th Street, this weekend with my family and we decided to eat Virils delivery for dinner. My brother did a search on the Internet to find a Virgil's website to get the phone number, menue etc. and couldn't find it. We were all saved by our 2/22/00 jam ( http://securityofficefurn.com/dstein/ds022200.htm ) a menu was redily at hand and we had a great Virgils Dinner delivered. The problem is now my family thinks I need to see a shrink for the posting that was up there.

We do we play this week, Weds, Thurs?
