Feast of Freaks
  • No guests but we functioned well and pulled off the big switch of the room to Dave's liking.  Turning the guitar amps and PA speakers around.   I think the sound was much better because there was a mush factor taking form and this opened it up quite a bit.  The separation of it all made a clearer sound.
  • I'm posting this while Larry came to my house to utilize the power of my CPU and cable modem combo to tape some pretty lame music.  What are you gonna due.   I couldn't convince him to eat the two leftover veal parms from last nights meal.

Thaks again to everyone, especially andy who "just did it" !!.....and i'm glad to hear that it may have may the sound better for all, or at least will. THERE IS HOWEVER, one mpre change i'd like to see, i love pizza and the knots thing but isnt it like 5 weeks in a row "c'mon deadstein, c'mon deadstein, c'mon change the food" (if you want i can get that katz's thing again, if it is just the band it works out to be the same $$$$ as usual)

I'm looking forward to experimenting with the new amp set up. Food has been lacking in its originality. We can be more creative,...But were all to damn lazy. Maybe we should entertain the idea of a Labor Day BBQ ? (Virgils That Is)Or Katz's Famous You can't ever go wrong. B/4 it's out of season a trip to Rocco's on Bleeker street for home made unbelievable Italion Ices. Boy I miss the Food Section on the Deadstein Page.

I agree with everyone's comment about a change needed in the food. Delicioso just goes so far.

I'm tending my own tapes from now on {if I remember that is}. Side A of tape 1 has 1.5 songs on it. Good thing they were hot.

That is a problem that has haunted us Deadstein S.P.O.C. since the dawn of time. As a S.P.O.C. that has gone home many times from a jam with blank tapes, (or even worse; auto-flip-recorded-over-side-one tapes) I offer empathy and the best of luck.

Thursday is the 21st anniversary of Englishtown, one of my all-time favorite shows. Let's play the songs from the show.

Englishtown, that is a long time ago. I remember listening to it on the radio on WNEW. I was in the car going somewhere with my parents and my father always wanted to listen to WNEW. My brother and I were always 99X types of guys, "Don't Rock the Boat Baby" if you know what I mean but my Father won out and we heard what is arguable the best 1/2 step and the best Eyes yet played, and short of the Dave Nelson Band playing it, there won't be a better one played. Sorry for all you Other One Heads out there. See you Thursday. Speaking of which, I forget what we have planned for the Week of 9/14/98 but I cannot play Wed. 9/16/98 and would prefer not playing Tues 9/15/98. I have a golf outing in PA during the day. Anyway, we can discuss it on Thursday. The freakiest time of the week. P.S. Kevin, Send me the Photo's, or if you don't like them take more this week.
