Keep on Freakin

A snowy Thursday night at Vinny's where a lot was in limbo.  I, Larry G, your humble narrator wasn't there cause I was in the Bahamas and Andy didn't make it due to bowling night with his company.  In any event Dave played guitar, John Spitz made a rare entrance and our good friend Michael B. made a visit.  I'm sorry I missed them all.  I hear it was a good jam.

Always a treat to sit in with the boys...new studio seems to work just exactly perfect for Deadstein, it's just a pain geting there in a New York blizzard. Of course, since I had pout new strings on moments before arriving and also just got this new effects box that I have no clue how to use, it took me a while to get close to a decent sound. Thanks to everybody for bearing with me. Also, I guess I figured out that it's pretty important to find a physical spot where you can actually 1) hear yourself, 2) get to the mic and still hear yourself and 3) hear everybody else. It finally fell together nicely in the 2nd half. LG, list modifications include no Tom Thumb's, break after Peggy-O I think...out of break gently into Like A Road which was very sweet with LB doing a very very nice solo. With all the talk about getting too loud (whose raw nerve did I step on??), it was an appropriately dynamic siuation with very quiet moments building to very, um, loud ones. Stella Blue, then Round & Round...very close to calling it quits when that tune got rather lame, but thank Jerry for a very good Morning Dew. I repeat, a very good Morning Dew. Ending up with a decent Brokedown, then back into the snow. Thanks again to Deadstein. I really have to figure out a way to crash this scene more often. Thanks for having me. Until next time...js
