A night a Vinny's again that gave us no hassle, quick play, cheap and lousy equipment.  In any case we came, we played and we left.  The whole band was there. Johnny slept through most of it and the only guests were my friend Michael and Andy's pig ear eating friend Lance.  Rich found Lance's other pig ear but threw it out instead of saving it.  I didn't do that with Andy's tuner which I found and grabbed.

very nice jam. the meal was good too. It is as easy for me to get there as anywhere, and the hassle seems to be non-existent in that part of town. I had aqn interesting moment. Sitting down and listenning to the band I belong to finishing PITB and going into Dark Star. There were some amzing passages there. I also dug Same Thing. Brown eyed Women was also its snappy self. good jam. Vinny says that the machines are broken for ever, adn that we will have to bring drinks with us next time. do nto forget! see you on Wednesday! Just a reminder that I will not be there any day this week. I'll be in Mexico from Friday to Friday so have fun. I'll miss Lance. That's right. I got the balls to say what the rest of you think. You complain to each other that "it's too loud" all the time. So when an oppurtunity arises for the mix to thin out so you can hear yourselves play, you should welcome and embrace it. I know that Dave's first thought when Gindoff advised us that he would miss this week was "Oh good, I'll bring my guitar." I am merely protecting Deadstein's interests.

Much ado 'bout nothin'. I Didn't know I had "friends" weighing in on this, I did not put them up to it. As for "balls", I try not to peek up skirts, so I don't know. I thought the jury was still out if Freakboy was a member or groupie, much less spokesperson. Nonetheless I respect his protecting the interest of his bandmates, and he's a cool dude. it'll be fine, just as it has in the past when we have had a decreased turn out....it should be a nice relaxing evening of kindness, comedy, friendship and music in what appears to be our new clubhouse at Vinny's....morning dew, bertha, mission in the rain, jack straw, music never stopped, sugar mag, standing on the moon, etc...LB should have no prob at all handling 95% of the lead...i say lets leave things the way they are for thurs.

call vinny's @ 564-7171, I also heard that due to the guitar dearth, David had intended to bring his anyway....but do not quote me. the Hand of God has moved in mysterious ways to ensure that my wife and her sister, deadheads both, were going to hear almost the full band...the only thing to complete the almost deadstein scene would be Brotman saying that his flight to hollywood was cancelled due to weather. I know that Gind is already in Mehico eating worms so, he will be a no-show

grate jam last night. Dood playing with the guy the "union sent over", Jonathan, he was a good soldier and did a fabulous job on 'Like a Road" as well as the gitar.....speaking of guitars, Dave Scwartz played almost all night and had some very nice moments. Loved the job we did with several songs. Stranger was and is always grate, and west LA is always a winner. I enjoyed uncorking a Stella BLue for my lovely wife and her sister who came along to cheer us on. Looking forward to seeing the 3 faces we missed last night, including Trister who psyched us out by making us THINK he was coming. Next jam is TUESDAY at vinny's
