oh, there you are. I have been looking for you! Ken is correct, Cassidy was outstanding, and worth the price of admission! SO LONG WWI it is "To Sir With Love" Sorry that Scott got a headache, and all that. I have no problems with any PM next week, but need to know. Need to know some logistics as well. What time do we start, and eaters have to meet an hour earlier to get their nutrition in, I agree, cannot waste studio time on manga!

Hey Andy, how about that rate cut?!?!?! we talked about it, it came and it was 2X as big as we figured. All it did was help me recoop some losses, but I did not make any fresh $$. Obviously there was no lasting effect. and Unfortunately the numbers this AM were mixed enought to suggest no recession is pending(growth did not slow, Unemployment stayed the same, and 100K new jobs were created), so we may not get another rate cut anytime soon.

Hello my favorite freaks. Word up in Beantown is that a rippin' and rockin SMOKE ON THE WATER filled the room with good ol'jolly -kick some ass in your face- Deadstein. Now I have heard various warm-up bass lines of one of my favorite Deep Purp songs at a few Deadstein functions - check the tapes for those who question:) - - But, to rip it up at the last basement show is truly epic - word too is that L.B. played possesed with rippin' good riffs. I'm sure the mighty Trister added his own power chords that could shake even the most die hard Van Halen fan to say what the **** killer tunage we got going down here baby! You dudes are my heroes - Gind - could you update the 2nd set with *SOTW 1st time played. - it means a lot!!! Love and Drool Steele

p.s Woulda loved to see the smiles on you crazy drum dudes beltin this puppy out!

Steele: By the time Smoke on the Water came, I think Trister was playing Drums and Dave was playing guitar and it was really just Larry ripping it out. I don't recall Frank Zappa and the Mommas being mentioned and therefore it think it was a Smoke on the Water until it was quickly extinguished by our lack of ability and knowledge. Steele, we need a Boston gig to do. I hear VH1 has a new special scheduled, Deadstein, where are they now?

Steele, I sang the 1st line "We all came out to Montrose" and it desintigrated(sp) right after that! Gotta hand it ot Gind, he had the lineup nailed, I think that that was it! But if SOTM means Standing on the Moon, you have a better chance if hearing that from these boys next time!

Trist on Drums - SICK!!! Tommy - How about

Music Never Stopped SOTW> Sugar Magnolia SOTW (Reprise) We Bid You Goodnight :) The fact of the "We ALL Came Out To Montrose" with Trister banging his skins like Zack Starkey - you gotta give the set list some small inkling of SOTW - Then again - I don't feel as though I can suggest any changes to the famous and highly respected Gind list unless I get down to one of the Deadstein gigs like a real man and take in the kindness that is omnipresent. By the way, Is Johnny still shaving his scrotehood?? You guys are my heroes! Steele

Thanks for allowing me to visit a few of those Deadstein jams over the past four years; each visit was a memorable experience. I was saddened last week, though, after querying Larry Gindoff, my over-the-partition colleague and soulmate-of-sorts, about the Jan. 2 event, the last to be held at Scott's place, for he responded that Deadstein became "homeless" at the conclusion of that sesssion. Pollyanna that I am, I know, however, that you guys won't be on the streets for too long. Or I hope so. Bon chance, and thanks for allowing me to broaden my horizons. Penny

Tom, I'll certainly consider your request that my home become the official Deadstein jam place; however, the only part of my abode which would be suitable is the basement, and it is truly a landfill which would require serious excavation prior to a Deadstein invasion! Are you into heavy duty housecleaning?! PJ

LOL! touche' Penny! There is a difference between housecleaning and excavation. My own available home spaces need cleaning and they are seriously lacking. If I told Angela that I was going to clean someone else's house, things would get mighty frosty at home.

Cool Dave, thanks, I'm in.

By the way, I once saw Major Nelson on one of the rotisseries when Jeanie's sister switch lotions on her to make her hate Major Nelson and love Major Healey. I can still hear Tony screaming, "Jeanie!"
