Hey, Deadsteinheads! Deadstein's commitment to the Grateful Dead's improvisational legacy has been rocking New York since 1990, and our December 10, 2025 jam was a heartwarming highlight-a thrilling reunion with Terez, the talented vocalist we jammed with many years ago and even shared a gig or two. Affectionately known as Mini-T, Terez brought her powerful voice back to the fold, singing great as the band played tight and composed, reigniting memories better than ever. With Drew and Lee holding it down on drums, Larry conducting the band and producing the show (with super help from Grok and AI to propel Deadstein even further into the future), Kevin on bass, and Rich on keys, this session was a perfect blend of nostalgia and forward momentum.
The reunion vibe was electric from the start, with Terez's vocals soaring like Donna Jean Godchaux's, adding soul and harmony to every tune. Drew and Lee on drums delivered a solid, synchronized backbeat, channeling the dual-drummer power of Kreutzmann and Hart for rhythmic depth and drive. Larry Gindoff masterfully conducted the band on guitar, handling vocals and production with flair, all while leveraging Grok and AI to innovate and elevate Deadstein's game into the future. Kevin Forrester's bass thumped with precision, providing the low-end glue, and Rich Brotman's keyboards swirled with organ magic and vocal support. The energy was palpable-old friends reuniting, creating fresh magic in tribute to the Dead's enduring spirit.
This reunion jam was a beautiful reminder of Deadstein's roots and its exciting evolution, blending cherished memories with innovative strides forward. Huge thanks to Terez for returning and lighting up the stage, to Drew and Lee for their rock-solid drums, to Kevin and Rich for their foundational grooves and textures, and to Larry for his leadership and embrace of Grok and AI to push boundaries. Gratitude to our community for keeping the vibe alive-join us for more at Deadstein.com. The journey continues!
