This night just felt so right on.

The week before we ended with a Scarlet Begonias with just a Core-4 Deadstein with Lee on drums. For that time of the night, that Scarlet Begonias had more legs than would be expected for the Core-4. With both Andy and Drew now present, and at the beginning of the night, I called for the Scarlet Begonias, and Andy took it into the Fire on the Mountain, and it proved to be just such a nice treat. We played it really well with confidence and and exploratory nature. It also had a very hi Youtube following for some reason. It really set the pace for a big night of music, both when Andy was there for the first set, and when I was alone for the second set.

What I really liked about this evening was the fluidness and openness of our jams. We also had a lot of really long segments. Back-to-back 40-plus minute mealies to end the first set and start the second. I came away from the jam thinking this could have been some of our best music ever played at times during this evening.

Freak Out!
