It was a four man jam this night with Alan playing rhythm during the Grateful Dead part of the night at the beginning. Rich walked in from another rehearsal right as we were entering drums to the 12-5-79 Pittsburgh show we were doing. At that point Alan thought it was time to go. We took a break, switched gears and played some Garcia Band to close the night. This was more fitting as we had only one guitar and the piano. Both parts of the nights were pretty good for what they were.
