Next jam is scheduled for next Monday the 16th in Smash.

There were no guests and in addition no Andy T although we did have Mini-Tyler Moore in the Room.  Her and Rich warmed up for a while before the Jam.  Since there was no Trister I was the only guitarist and took full advantage of it.  Having a ball playing every lead.  I was using the VOX and it sounded pretty good for most of the night.  I even hurt my fingers playing so hard a few times.  Lots of good music, lots of good songs even if Kevin blows smelly burps in my face.

Just so I can refer to this later, this was the recording setup.

  1. Mini Tyler Moore
  2. Rich
  3. None
  4. Dave
  5. Larry Guitar - SM57 Vox Modelling Amp
  6. Floor Tom - AKG C1000S
  7. Rich Keys Left
  8. Rich Keys Right
  9. Kevin Bass - Senn 421
  10. Kick Drum - AKG D112
  11. Snare - AKG Clip on
  12. Overhead - Neumann KM 184
  13. Tom Small - SM75
  14. Tom Big SM57

Till next Monday at Smash Studios A

I thought TheGind more than held his own. There were a couple of suprisingly good leads coming out of that kid. MiniT sang her little heart out for us, good thing Deadstein travels with a defibrillator. 2 more jams left in 2002. Get into it.

Hey it looks like we are going to hit the 50 jam plateau this year. With lots of turmoil going on this year it shows the sustaining power to the original Grateful Dead stein Cover band. Just look back at the 9/12/02 jam celebrating the 12 year anniversary to feel good about our power to keep the freak alive

I know I commented all night on the beauty of the Sing we and MiniT pulled off on 12/9/02, I made even made Kev and Dave listen to it in the car before they left the parking lot last night, but did you guys have an opportunity to hear the Hey Pocky Way right after it? That thing didn't have the beauty of the Carpenter's Sing but it was down-right hot.

Hey did MiniT ask the classic Deadstein question last night or what? "What are you guys all doing for Christmas?" With the proud answer of nothing, we're Deadstein and we're Jewish." I know no one is prouder to be Jewish on Christmas than Kevin is.

Be nice boys cause this isn't a negative and a positive balancing eachother out but two negative about to collide in a super collider. nevertheless when living in a collider you get prepared to collide.

Anyway, I mixed the first half of last week and it's really good. That Dave song, I only hvae eyes for you or whatever it is is so good and charming cause you hear MiniT giggling as she wails throughout itthat it is really cool and funny, enjoable and the rest. the quality of the recording is very good also. Gotta run.
