It was a strange night as I wasn't there but was cross the river with thosethose ex-Deadstein guys practicing for an Elevestein gig.  If it makes anyone feel better for me missing Deadstein, the gig is a benefit for a fallen firefighter from 9/11/01.  It should be a bash on 11/9/02 in Bay Ridge.   Now that I have a reason for your sympathy and forgiveness, I apologize for missing the jam and hope you had a fun one.  I missed you all.

Coffeee-Boy on Drums, Dave on Guitar and the rest as they say on Gilligan's Island.  Tell us how it was and looking forward

till next Monday.

Good fun last night, thanks for coming Mitch.

Hey Larry, great work on the website! The songbook section rules now I can't tell you how much I love it. I say that only the current lineup should have their picture up; let's get rid of all originals and recent releases that don't play with us anymore...they're dead weight! I'll bring my digital camera on Mon; maybe Fernando can snap a picture of us.

While TheGind's absence was conspicuous and profound, Deadstein did not dissappoint and forged ahead with a second-string line-up who would be starters in their own right, in any other situation. The entire songlist was played (at least attempted) and there was an xtra Crazy Fingers and Liberty, if I remember correctly. CoffeeBoy rocked hard and was not phazed by Deadstein's rigorous training regimen. A hearty tip 'o the hat to you, CoffeeBoy. The fun continues...

Fun, Fun, fun till our daddy takes our t-bird away!

I must say, that dispite it being more of a "Dylanstein" than "Deadstein" jam, I really enjoyed the evening.

Thanks,

CB
