The next jam and scheduled for next Monday September 8, 2003 at Smash Studios R.

It was back in Studio A for the first time in months and it was a very nice room to be in.  It sounded good, the PA was pretty good and I got to use a reissue Twin, not a very good one either.  Mitch seemed to like the drums especially the Sabian symbols.  Rich couldn't use the Yamaha Piano cause it was so out of tune.  Kevin was just having trouble keeping his sanity together as he went screaming from mysterious noises in his head.  Terez and Rich came in hoping to iron down the final set for the October 9, 2003 Tobacco Road jam, but to no avail.  The only thing really accomplished was working on the Music Never Stopped with her which will yield some high results in the future.  Kevin really lost it during the Morning Dew and that was a song not to be messed with.  I'm sure there were another few songs but I can't think now.

I had the Fresco Taco C5 with Kev.

Ok, Ok, so I had some issues last nite. It's not like I haven't had them before. There were actually 2 separate (but related) instances TheGind was describing. One, was the familiar 'Left / Right Side Of The Brain Battle', which ironically was an 'eye-opening' experience for me last nite. I realized how it could appear to the casual observer, that I try and make mistakes on purpose...I am looking directly at TheGind and he is yelling, 'F' and I play 'D'. That certainly could be construed as an intentional f*ck-up, but the reality of it is, that no one is more shocked, suprised and frustrated than me, when my brain says 'F' and 'D' comes out of my amp. I'm working on it. The second, was a little more entertaining. It seems the room change and monitor / PA array disoriented me slightly. We were in the middle of some song and I heard someone say: "Kev" right in my ear...I felt breath on my neck. I knew there was no one behind me, so I screamed like a little girl and ran across the room in terror. Being a fancier of the paranormal, I thought for sure I was hearing disembodied voices. Which seems kind of cool, until you actually hear disembodied voices. Anyway, it turned out to be TheGind saying his familiar 'F' into the mic, coming out of the monitors. Which is a good thing, because I really don't want to room with David Berkowitz.

Nice poster. Not only is it topical and timely, but it contains the image of the apartment building I live in, next to the Left Tower Of Eyeballs. Next jam is next Tuesday, 9/16, Studio R

I may have some potential to have CDs of the jam for next week. My buddy the taper may come by and record us next week, so if you want a copy of the set let me know so I can make sure he comes with enough blank CDs to hand out. if you know what I mean.

There's no chance CDs will be ready for tonight, I assume they will be ready for next week's jam.
