Next jam is next Thursday August 17, 2006 at Carrolls, and it is not yet confirmed.

On a Tuesday night Trister celebrated his birthday. Bill Siegel played organ with us while singing a few until he closed up shop at 10:00 pm. In addition, Ken Levine showed up for a few songs at the beginning. It was good to see him back in the studio.

It was a very cold large studio and Kevin was having amp and speaker problems but by the time I got there, they were over and he was booming. I came from my meeting and came without effects and I liked the cleanliness of the sound. Some songs were really good including the Stagger Lee, Visions of Johanna and the Russian Lullaby. We bulled our way through the Picasso but got tho the end pretty well. We quickly rocked a Taxman at the close as Trister was packing up.

It was a beautiful day outside and inside it was like an ice-box. Mets and Yankees are both in first place and Israel is continuing to go after the terrorists.

I posted mastered versions of the multitracks from the Short Hills gig. Live links are provided on the database driven page for that show if you just want to click and listen or download.

http://deadstein.com/jam.asp?JamID=531

is the link to get to this page. These are not new mixes but they have all been mastered together to get the consistent and loud vibe. Enjoy and use these files to replace the ones I gave you. If anyone wants a burned CD let me know because that will sound better than the MP3s available on the website. Love the Midnight Hour!
