The next jam and scheduled for next Tuesday July 15, 2003 at Smash Studios R.

It was a night of jamming where we had no Trister but Michael Carpetsteen came in to sing some high harmonies above MiniT.   Little did he know that MiniT had to leave by about 8:30 or so which left Michael with the lion's share of song selection as well as song singing.  He selected out of the "B" section of his book.  Fortunately for Michael, I was getting electrocuted throughout the night and therefore I did not help in any of the singing.   I'm still buzzing from those shocks.

Besides Michael, Kathy was our only guest, taking pictures and hoping for a good China Cat.  I recorded for the night and lets see when I get to it.  I may just render the files and give it to Michael to mix.  We will see.  Nevertheless, we played alot had a good time and the rest is history.

I ate Fresco Taco last night and split a #33 taco fajitas salad and a C5.  In addition, I went for a couple of Gray Papayas hot dogs for the way home.

Is this all the songs we played or did I forget a couple?

I've got something to do on Tuesday, July 22 and 23rd that precludes me from doing Deadstein those days. Actually it's a recording engineering job for one of Bill Siegel's bands that i really want to do. If we can switch the jam to Monday July 21st or Thursday July 24th, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to cancel my ability to go to the jam that week. Sorry about this but it's a recording session I want to be a part of and Bill begged me to be a part of. Please jam without me if you have to or lets try to change the date. Sorry about this.

Thanks to everyone for trying to play Monday. I guess it's just Rich and Smash at this point that need to be confirmed. By the way, did anyone view the unedited video Rich gave us of the Tobacco Road gig? I saw it last night and it was great. The person who did the filming did a great job. The quality is really good, much better than you typically see both in the quality of the actual picture as well as the way she pans and zooms the camera. Really well done so my Kudos to her, Rich, as well as Deadstein for performing so well. Rich did you coach her on when leads come in and out and who she should be on? That was really well done. You could tell, pardon the pun, that she was focused for the entire show on doing the filming of the gig.

We're in the book for Monday 7/21 Studio R at Smash. Studio A was taken. Does anyone have any preferences for songs to play next Tuesday during the MiniT Set? Let me know so I can get Kevin a set list on Monday. So far, MiniT would like to do Black Peter and The Weight. I'd like to do U.S. Blues and The Way You Do The Things You Do. Also last week we didn't get to Favorite Mistake. My friend and colleague Joanna Yuen and her husband Tassos volunteered to shoot our set at Tobacco Road. They did a great job, and coupled with the wide angle camaera lock-off and the soundboard mix we should have a good lookin and good sounding concert video.

We're in Studio R because Studio A is booked on Tuesdays on a regular basis by some other band. Even though we're playing on Monday 7/21, Studio A is still booked by some other band.

That sucks, we used to have A booked regularly but we lost it. Does that mean we are stuck in R? Coffee Dude.....I cannot wait to see you tomorrow night for a bubble gum jam!
