Upcoming Schedule:

  • Tues. 6/22/2004, Carroll's

This was a special occasion where Andy set up his basement office as a basement studio.  Having a rare Saturday jam where all of Deadstein, except Rich Brotman, headed up to Monroe CT, past the Strawberry Festival and onto Knorr Road.  Not only is Saturday afternoon jam cool, but we got the Weinz and the Wind to get to the jam and jam with us.  Let's not also forget Andy's neighbor Scott who lent us the PA and played with us for a song or two.  Thanks to Scott for helping make it all happen.  The only other guests to hear us were Lance and Lucy.

Trister played his rig, and the Wind played his with his Vibrolux.  Kev had his double amp setup with his favorite Yamaha Combo.  Coffee had his own sparkling red set for the first time of playing with Deadstein.  Jordan started by playing his Kentucky Mandolin through is Fender amp and I had my Heritage running through my Super Champ amp.  I eventually migrated to playing Andy's Casio Keyboard and Jordan migrated to playing my Heritage.  I had a blast imitating Melvin Seals.  Setting up the volume pedal was a big help.

It was great to see and hear the wind.  I haven't done that for 2 or 3 years now, and for Andy it is since 1986.  Wow. And I played Piano au Gratin.  Nevertheless, it was a joy.  The room sounded real good.

For food Andy cooked up some excellent steaks on the BBQ and things don't get much better than that.  It was a beautiful night outside.

Till next Tuesday, 6/22/04 at 7:00 pm in Carroll's.

Trister, well done! Weinz and the Wind isn't that an old genesis album? Anyway... Excellent! Anytime. It's this reporter's opinion that ... we rocked. Big Fun in little Monroe. I uploaded, check it!
