Last jam in February and we had no guests in the studio with us.  We seemed a bit off and tired as we began the night.  We had a late start and never had an extra amount of energy.  Tough we had little energy to start the night ended with a wide variety of encore songs.  Brotpen didn't arrive till half way through the night and I played piano for a few songs including the I'll Take a melody, Misty Mountain Hop and Tennessee Jed.  It was lots of fun and I survived the experience thinking I contributed to the song.  After the Jed Rich arrived and took over command of the keys.

Doing my bi-annual check in. How are you Larry and Kevin?? Jesus 20 years since Albany!!! Ran into Charles and Warren at the recent Phil shows. Both doing well. I am doing great. Kids are getting big. Hannah was Bat Mitzvahed this year!!! My oldest son Ben is quite the Deadhead. Listens to them every day of his life. Loves the jams. I took him to Weir and Lesh shows. He really loves it. Spend most winter weekends at our house in Vermont and recently bought a place for the summers on Fire Island. So all in all life is pretty good. Saw in a recent Law article that Dougie may have hit a bad spot regarding his legal career. Hopefully his comic business is going well. That's it for now. Love to see that you're still jamming away. Just think it all started at the Palace in Albany, what a long strange trip.

Deadstein will always be grate, but Jazz is Dead is amazing. Saw them last night on the mini tour commemmorating Blues for Allah. Certainly if the event was called Jazz is Jazz no-one would come, but since they are playing the music, they didn't sacrifice art for artifice. They were amazing. Game 'em a standing O, and in GD fashion, hooked up w/a bunch of heads before and after. Was looking for parts of this pantheon of palatable playas, but alas, none were to be found. Anyway, If you have never checked them out, they are worth the ride! Rock on Deadstein!
